Business Development Manager

Competitive salary – Predominantly Home Based

Area – UK wide (with a focus on Greater London area)

£40,000 - £50,000 – OTE £80,000-£100,000


Our client is seeking to hire an individual to develop the customer based and sell he products and services offered in their security competency.


The role is responsible for helping the company meet its objective to build significant growth n new business sales.

Working in partnership with the pre-sales team the primary objective of this role is to develop sales opportunities & pipeline for their range of security products, focussing on Privileged Access Management and SaaS based breach & attach simulation platform


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales development for security competency
  • Building new business pipeline
  • Create and maintain sustainable customer relationships to deliver sales growth to meet and exceed targets
  • Co-ordinating leads generated by the company’s in-house marketing activities
  • Drive new sales of products and services
  • Ensure a high success rate on software and service renewals


Experiences and skills required:

  • Experience of working in the security software sector
  • General IT knowledge and use of Microsoft tools
  • Ability to work independently
  • The drive to grow new business and the ability to unlock new opportunities
  • Planning and financial skills including business planning, pipeline management and forecasting
  • Ability to identify, document, analyse, understand business requirements and translate them into pragmatic, efficient and effective solutions.
  • Strong planning, organisational and prioritisations skills
  • Strong and consistent sales track record
  • Excellent communication skills in English including the ability to inform, influence and present at all levels of the organisation
  • Excellent documentation and reporting skills
  •  Systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues/customers/business partners and vendors
  • Proactive attitude with drive to achieve objectives within agreed deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self-starter, ability to work under own initiative
  • Ability to multi-task, work flexibly, well under pressure and to tight deadlines



  • Degree educated or has sales experience within the security sector
  • 5+ years’ professional sales experience
  • 3+ years’ of experience as sales lead or manager
