Our Luton, Beds based client, is looking for an experienced Accountant to join them for a 6 month fixed term contract commencing asap.

You will be be rewarded with the following:

Salary £28,000 - £40,000 plus company benefits 

Location: Luton, Beds 

Days/ Hours: Mon - Fri 830am - 530pm (40 hours per week)

Overview of the role 
This is initially a 6 month fixed term contract BUT it may well be extended for the right person with the right attitude and skills 

You will be required very much to be a self starter with little supervision from the FC - you will be entrusted to be able to be that reliable, conscientious self starter who can motivate and direct a small team of colleagues 

 Typical duties will include but not limited to:

·         Balance sheet reconciliations

·         Group VAT/Partial exemption - you must have experience of working with VAT 

·         RedSky/Opera accounts software experience would be a great to have but not essential, as long as you have good accounts package exprience 

·         Good excel skills with pivot tables and macro experience 

·         System implementation

·         Supervisory skills to support a small team of 2/3 

·         Qualified in AAT level 4 or ACCA or CIMA is great or Qualified By Experience is fine too - experience is a must though not just qualifications  

·         Minimal supervision to be able to get on with it in a professional, conscientious manner 
 
·        a great team player with great communication skills
