Role: Accreditation Manger 

Location: hybrid (mainly remote with odd requirement for HQ visits in Central Bedfordshire)

Salary: competitive depending on related experience and qualifications 

We are looking for an experienced professional with a proven track record in accredited certification.
Experience shall have ideally been gained in both an operational and regulatory capacity.
A strong working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17021 and associated IAF mandatory documents is essential, also a broader understanding of other accreditation standards such as ISO 27006, 17020 and 14065 is desirable.
QMS Lead Auditor status is essential for the successful candidate.
The role will be remote based, with global responsibilities extending to all territories in which the business provides accredited certification. Typically, this role will require both domestic and international travel.


Key functions:
  • To promote a culture of continual improvement whilst striving to maintain operational conformity within the parameters of applicable normative documents
  • To build and maintain strong relationships with the companies regulators based upon trust and technical excellence
  • To provide technical leadership in a variety of projects, such as new product development, transitions, and scope extensions



Day to Day Duties 
  • Delivery of internal audits across both domestic and international locations
  • Maintenance and response to external audit findings (e.g managing the responses and communications through the UKAS portal etc)
  • Facilitate the external witnessed audit process (including the provision of a technical review of pre-audit information ahead of submission)
  • Provide project management and technical support for scope extensions and new scheme development.
  • Provide project management and technical support for the transition of accreditation and certification standards.
  • Provide technical oversight of the global management system to ensure continual improvement, the avoidance of obsolescence and continued relevance.
  • Manage the document control process
  • Provide independent continual performance evaluation of the operations and field teams to reduce dependency on the internal audit
  • Support the internal audit process both domestically and overseas.
  • Support the external audit process both domestically and overseas
  • Provide a direct point of contact for external regulators
  • Provide technical support at UK and International conferences where required
  • Manage the Appeals process
  • Provide data and analytical reports for key meetings such as (but not limited to) The impartiality Committee, The Management Review, Directors Strategy meeting
  • Initiate/support/facilitate process improvement projects
  • Monitor regulatory expenditure and provide associated inputs to the budgeting process
  • Provide ad hoc technical support to office and field staff


Essentials 
The ability to establish effective working relationships both internally and externally at a senior and working level.
experience in the TIC industry.
experience of accountability for targets, kpis and working to SLAs
Ability to understand and utilise management information, with the ability to make informed decisions
Experience of the development and implementation of management system processes
Experience of project management
Lead Auditor qualifications 
Experience in compiling and working with risk assessments
Willingness and flexibility to travel across the UK and global 
Full UK driving license 
Full eligibility to work in the UK 

Desirable 
Demonstrable understanding of the international accreditation framework ie IAF and regional accreditation groups
delivering presentations in business forums
