Our global client, with it's UK HQ in Central Bedfordshire, is looking for a Global Accreditation Director to join them following the departure of the present encumbrance after  9 years of fantastic, dedicated service.

Location: Remote (UK based) as long as you can attend HQ meetings within a reasonable commute on weekly or so occasions 

Days / Hours of Work: Mon-Fri 35 hrs per week

Overview 
An experienced professional with a proven track record in the strategic deployment of accredited certification.
A strong working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17021 and associated IAF mandatory documents is essential, as well as experience and working relationships with industry regulators (UKAS, SMMT, IAQG etc)and industry/trade bodies (ABCB, FCB, CQI etc).
The ideal candidate will have strong regulatory experience and a broader understanding of other accreditation standards such as ISO 27006 and 14065. They should have a strategic mindset focused on integrity, future success and industry leadership whilst also focusing on mitigating any regulatory and compliance risks for the business both today and in the future.
The role will be remote based, with global responsibilities extending to all territories in which the business provides accredited certification. Typically, this role will require both domestic and international travel.

Key functions:
• To provide strategic direction and frameworks across the organisation with regards to the companies accreditation and product portfolio.
• To maintain strong relationships with the companies regulators based upon trust and technical excellence.
• To promote a culture of continual improvement whilst striving to maintain operational conformity within the parameters of applicable normative documents.
• To provide technical leadership in a variety of projects, such as new product development, transitions and scope extensions.

This is a high profile leadership position that requires a high degree of integrity. The successful candidate will be highly self motivated, adept at leading cross functional and cultural teams, skilled interacting at a senior leadership level and be able to develop strategies for improving business activities.
This is a multi-faceted technical and strategic role, which would be ideal for a candidate who is looking to work in a dynamic and fast changing global regulatory environment.
This will be a varied position and would be suitable to a candidate with demonstrable similar experience or broad familiarity with the normative documents relevant to the companies accreditation's and approvals.

Leading the UK Regulatory team, and working as an integral part of the businesses UK leadership team; this role focuses on the maintenance of all accreditation standards, the strategic management of external audits, the delivery of internal audits, maintenance of external audit findings, and guidance on project management to develop new products and drive continual improvement.
The role will also require you to deliver and develop excellent relationships with the businesses regulators whilst maintaining a high level of conformity and technical excellence.
You must have a strong background in management system certification and a proven track record in a regulatory leadership role.
Experience of working in a regulatory capacity and familiarity with the core concepts of accreditation is required.

Essentials Required 
The ability to establish effective working relationships both internally and externally at a senior and working level.
Operational experience in the TIC industry
Broad knowledge and experience of accreditation requirements and processes.
Demonstrable understanding of the international accreditation framework i.e. IAF and regional accreditation groups.
Strategy development and business leadership
Ability to understand and utilise management information, with the ability to make informed decisions.
Experience of the development and implementation of management system processes
Personal experience of accountability for targets – results focussed.
Lead Auditor qualification
International business experience
Flexibility to work, travel, staying away from home 
Experience in compiling and working with risk assessments
Willingness to travel extensively including international 
Full driving licence.
