As a Senior Content Writer, you will be responsible for researching, developing and writing engaging, value-add content for this not for profit, UK award winning company of choice 

You will create persuasive and educational content for a variety of campaigns, marketing channels and marketing materials to target a wide range of audiences and stakeholders.
You’ll interpret a diverse set of briefs and ensure the messaging, brand voice, identity, and values are effectively conveyed through written content that resonates with the companies target audiences and shapes the companies brands. 
You will report to companies Communications and PR Manager however,  you will be operating with a reasonable degree of autonomy and will work with colleagues across the wider Marketing and Communications team, and with colleagues across the company.


Roles Responsibilities 
 
  • Create engaging and informative content that educates and persuades the target audiences, driving brand awareness, engagement, and customer loyalty.
  • Write compelling copy for the marketing campaigns, thought leadership articles, blogs, whitepapers, website copy, e-newsletters, exhibition stands and social media channels.
  • Create storyboards and script content for videos, podcasts and speeches.
  • Create content that utilises the latest copy-writing trends and opportunities (SEO, key words and AI).
  • Monitor the effectiveness of communications – using a test and learn approach.
  • Identify creative story angles and work with all areas of the business to spot and fill content gaps.
  • Once uncovered, identify the appropriate formats for content and suitable outlets to ensure maximum impact.
  • Effectively re-purpose content to suit different audiences and channels for the companies brands.
  • Collaborate with the wider marketing and communications team to develop and refine messaging strategies that resonate with internal stakeholders and external consumers.
  • Ensure consistency in brand messaging across all channels.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements, gather feedback, and tailor design solutions to meet specific goals.
  • Maintain and evolve our brand voice guidelines to ensure a consistent and authentic brand presence in all written materials.
  • Manage an established governance process to ensure all content is approved prior to external release.
  • Review and edit content to ensure accuracy, grammar, and brand consistency.
  • Undertake any other duties as appropriate within their competence, as required by the Marketing and Communication Directorate leadership team.
  • Provide cover for other members of the Communications team in their absence as required.
The Right Person (Essentials) will have:
  • Degree in English/English Literature/Journalism or related field or equivalent.
  • Possess an investigative mindset and demonstrate a proactive approach to researching industry-related topics.
  • Possess a strong professional portfolio showcasing a range of writing styles and tones.
  • Proven experience as a content writer, copywriter or similar with the ability to identify the most effective form of content delivery for the given message and audience.
  • Experienced in writing for a variety of audiences, including the media, customers and end users.
  • Experience in transforming key messages into engaging content.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly absorb a brief.
  • Ability to apply the structure for effective copy, construct a narrative that seamlessly builds and reinforces the message and demonstrates how to apply EEAT (Experience, Expertise, Authority, and Trust) principles.
  • Committed to maintaining high ethical standards, fostering a culture of trust and transparency.
  • Exceptional editing and proofreading skills with a A keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality work.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment with great time management and self-motivation to ensure deadlines are achieved.
  • Proven track record of success working in a very fast-paced environment, multi-tasking a large number of work products and internal partners.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and digital marketing strategies.
Full right to work in the UK is essential.

Desirable:
 video and podcast creation and editing.
          Familiarity with the construction industry, or similar
          A full UK driving licence
