Office Administrator

If you are looking to work for a family-run company, established over 60 years ago, and with a unique product offering supplying global companies, then we could have just the opportunity for you!

Our client is growing further and are looking for a versatile individual to join them.   It really is a unique opportunity where you will be involved in supporting the office and the departments, so great exposure to learn and develop your skills in lots of areas.  It is ideally on a temp to perm basis but they will look at permanent for those that need to give notice.   

Salary: Depending on experience, qualifications etc circa £12ph 


Days: Mon-Fri

Hours: 25 hours  up to 37.5 hours per week, the company will be happy to look at flexibility in these hours for the right person. 
 
Benefits when permanent:
  • 32 days holidays (including 8 bank hols) pro rata. You need to reserve 5 days holiday for Christmas/New Year closure.

Purpose of Post
To support the wider management team in the day-to-day running of the business.

Responsibilities:
  • ??????Open and distribute post.
  • Answer phone calls and take messages / deal with queries in a professional and courteous manner
  • Order & invoice processing
  • Scan paperwork.
  • Filing.
  • Monitor email inbox responding and distributing accordingly. 
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports.
  • Manage office supplies.
  • Data entry.
  • Liaise with staff in all departments.
Required Skills
  • Reasonable Microsoft knowledge, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Excellent organisation skills, including good attention to detail.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Book-keeping a passion for accounts.
  • Social media (business awareness and willingness to develop).
  • Driver with full license and own car but this is not essential
Personal Attributes:
  • Team player is a must.
  • Someone who really wants to learn and develop their skills and support the wider management team.
  • Excellent communicator – verbal and written.
  • Good presentation skills both in work and personally 
  • Reliable and conscientious
  • GCSE Maths and English Grade C+.
